Thanks for Your "Support"!

Lovin this new stamp, well it is a new stamp to me, I just got it! I made an order of Penny Black stamps so I can play with the everyone at the Penny Black Challenge Blog. A fun site with lots of talent with Penny Black!

This weeks challenge is to use Pink, Brown and Green well that was a good one for me, I colored in my cat with my Copics and then went thru my stash of paper and found these Chatterbox papers. I have no clue how long I have had them, but they seemed to work well together. I cut the pieces and sewed everything down with a blanket stitch. I then matted the image on the backside of one of the pattern papers sewed it down, and inked the edges. The sentiment is computer printed and .... well it just fit! It came into my head and I knew it was perfect for this image and the card I need to send out this week to a very special friend. I matted it and inked the edges. I stacked two prima flowers and used a Making Memories button brad for the center. Now common it makes you giggle don't it!

How exciting.. I was awarded an award this weekend by THREE of my favorite people! Sue, Annie and Fran all gave me this award!

The rules for this award:
1. The winner can put the logo on her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the girls you've nominated

Man ... 7 blogs, it is hard to narrow down, especially leaving out the three that sent the award to me! but here they are in no particular order - I tried to pick people that haven't received this award yet, but by the time I get this posted they may all have!

A fun Sketch and yes... BLOG CANDY!

You have to go and check out Friday Sketchers this week. I love the sketch that the Bea (Beatrix from Germany) did this week! Really does make you think and fill all the areas of your card. And it has flourishes and flowers! Fun!

I started with a Rachelle Anne Miller image sent by a wonderful friend! I colored her in with my Copics and white gel pen. Then went through my mountains of pattern paper to match. Don't know why I did it that way this time usually I find the paper first. The base is a pale blue Bazzill card stock, with the back ground a pretty pink.

I wanted it to have something more to it and the square won't go thru the Cuttlebug, then I remembered seeing the embossing on the Scor-Pal on a blog a while back. Oh this I will be doing more of! Super easy I just made diagonal lines every 1/2 inch then inked with Papertrey sweet blush ink. The pattern papers are all from DCWV Spring stack. They are all inked on the edges and sewed down with blue metallic thread.

The image is double matted with the same card stock and then sewed together. Now for the flourishes.... had to get a little creative, I cut apart a Queen & Co. felt border to get it the right direction, but I like how it worked. I used six prima flowers and brads to finish it off. Oh and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things. Very Girly, pink and I am happy with it.

Ok, Blog Candy time.
I promised at 5000 that I would do another Candy at 10,000. I really didn't think it would be so soon! Wowser! You are all so kind and wonderful to visit me and my donkeys. Anyone want a Cat cheap?

I don't really want to get rid of Gato. But there are moments I really think I need my head checked on agreeing to this critter. I love her dearly, and she has become my cat, but this kitten thing really needs to pass soon and it has only just begun! Oh and she didn't hurt the card, I started to scream and throw her out of my photo tent, but then decided I needed to take one quick photograph first. Then yell at her!

Ok, the card that Gato almost ate - It is for Cute Card Thursday, and the challenge this week was to use no pattern paper. I used a card blank that is kraft brown papers. Not sure if I like these or not. They are not really heavy paper, but I bought 25 of them online, so I need to use them. I ran a piece of scrap peach colored card stock thru my Cuttlebug and emboss it. I was going to do a second one, but decided it was too much.

I colored in one of those adorable Sweet Ebony images (THANKS SHARY!!! She sent me some to play with!) Anyway I colored her in with my Copic Markers and white gel pen. I cut with Nestibilities round, and then cut a lime green scallop to mat. I stitched the edge with a Spica Glitter Pen, then white gel pen around the scallops.

Now how cute is that sentiment stamp! I found these blank metal stamp brads at Micheals this last week, they are from Provo Craft. I have the Papertrey sentiments that are really tiny and I was hoping that they would fit inside the stamp, and yee haw they do! How cool is that! I may have to go and get another box of the brads now! I doodled the edge of the base of the card and stitched the edge of the embossed paper. Then tied a wide green dotted satin ribbon around the bottom. I have been practicing my knots and bows lately. I still have some work there, but I am getting a little better. I used pop dots to attach the circle. I think it works for the Cute Card Challenge.

I also thought I would show you one of the baby girls. Angelina "Lina" I was out trying to get some photos last night, got lots of eyes and noses as the won't hang back and pose for me, but this is one I got as she was walking up, you can see Mom, Macey in the background keeping an eye on her. She is a real beauty.

Today is going to be a busy one, lots of little errands and things to do, and I have a class on Saturday to teach that I am not all together for, so need to do that as well. Hope you have a great Friday! Blog Candy will be put on Saturday! Really I am not doing this as a teaser, just not organized this week at all!

Summer in Blooms and two more Tildas!

Summer in Blooms - The Tilda and Friends ATC challenge this week is for Summer in Blooms, it is so hot here flowers are just not happy, but at least on my ATC they can be. I used one of the Spring Tilda's with flowers and colored her with Copics and white gel pen. Matted it on a scrap of pink card stock and gel stitched the edge.

I tried to do something different and cover the edges with prima flowers , but it just didn't want to work with me. Looked really bad, so I decided to go more simple and stacked three different sizes of primas and a brad and put on one corner. Clean and Simple.

Speaking of Clean and Simple, this card was a struggle for me, as it was so much open space. But I really like how it came out. The sketch is from this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge. And I loved it when I looked at it, Katharina's sketches always do rock.
I used a blank card, that was in my stash. I then went through my stash of scraps and found this lilac piece of card stock and punched the border with a Martha Stewart border punch. I new I wanted to use this piece of Papertrey Ink ribbon, but it wasn't enough, so I layered a wide piece of white ribbon with it. The flowers are Primas that were still new in the package, that I know I have had for at least 2 years! The sentiment is from Stampablities, I love the font, and that it is just so perfect for so many cards.
Ok now it should have been finished there. But I just couldn't stand the edge, even hubby said it seemed like it needed something on the edge. So I doodled just on the card base. It is done... then I just couldn't stand not coloring something and using it. I pulled out another Tilda (I know that is 4 in a row!) colored her and sat her on the ribbon. Ahhhh just felt better!

Well I know I promised some blog candy this week. I am putting it together and hope to post it on Friday or Saturday... keep an eye out! Oh and I will try and get some donkey photos up this weekend again. Hubby is home again today so that means more outside work, and less blog surfing again today! YUCK! Hope you all have a great Thursday and get to do more surfing than I do!

A two Tilda day!

Ok, I was having a Tilda withdrawal!

So it was perfect timing for the Tilda & Co. Challenge! This week was all Dottie! Well sitting right on top of my desk was these left-overs from my crop this weekend. And one of them is just plain dots. Perfect.

Using up stash, and filling the theme, and playing with what might be my favorite Tilda's. The sad thing is that I had some new ones that haven't even been inked up, but for some reason this paper really needed this particular Tilda. So I colored her with my Copic Markers, and high lighted with white gel pen. I cut her out with a small border. I then stickled her wings.

I then found a piece of green card stock that matched the pattern papers. I think these are Making Memories, but the name is missing so I am not for sure. I matted each piece with the base color, and then stitched with the gel pen. I found a piece of ribbon that I saved from being thrown away a couple of weeks ago. The sentiment is from Heidi Grace. It needed something more. Then I found these Prima Flowers, wow they were the perfect shades to match the papers, and I just love the centers, they are denim iron on pearls!

I really love this one, hubby commented that I really have done some country looking cards lately, maybe it is a new phase for me. Make sure to pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at how great the cards are there!

My second card today is for Ismaki Challenge. This week is a really fun sketch. I love the options that can be used for the circles. I was going to go with buttons, but while stamping my new Tilda I found the flowers from my last order. I thought they were perfect with the image.
I colored everything with Copics. I then cut the flower out and then used Twinkling H2O's for the petals, I then used some Doodlebug Ultra Fine Glitter for the centers. I used a piece of Basic Grey Lily Kate paper, on green and pink card stock. I matted the image with the same.
The ribbon is one of my favorites. It is from Micheal's Dots and Dashes, I think that is what it is called, but it is kind of frilly looking and I use it a lot. I placed everything down according to the sketch and then used a Sakura Glaze Pen to stitch the edges. I am sorry I do that all the time, but it just seems unfinished to me with out it.

I feel so much better using two Tilda's. It had been a while since I had and I was really missing my friend. =)

Well hubby is off today and we are going to work on a new pen for the donkeys. It is getting close to weening time for Rosie and then the other two girls will be close behind her. Can you believe it, they grow up so fast. sigh.

Hope you have a great Wednesday!

So excited to have some SUGAR!

I have been so excited this weekend, but didn't want to let it out until it was posted. I was asked to join the DT at A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog! You really must visit this one if you haven't yet, especially if you like Sugar Nellie, Rachelle Ann Miller, Sweet Ebony or Hanglar stamps! Thank you so much ladies for asking me to join in and I hope I can keep up with all of your talent!

My first card for them today is to show off some checks. I went a little country with my checks and the adorable Maggie feeding the baby lamb! I just love this stamp, she is so cute, and that baby well just precious.
I colored the image in with Copics and white gel pen, then for the lamb I used white puff paint to give her some fluff. I cut her out with my Nestibilities square and then a scallop to match the base. The pattern papers are all Daisy D's that I zig zag sewed down with pink thread. I also stitched the image to the scallops. I used the gel pen to dot the scallops and to stitch around the edge of the card. The sentiment is from Hanna stamps. A very country card, but hey she is feeding a lamb so it just had to be.

My second card today is for the Penny Black Challenge. A shout out to Sue for the image, thanks again buddy! I have a bunch of Penny Blacks on order =)! I just love this one, how funny is it that this group of mice are crank calling the cat! This is my kind of group of friends... which is the theme for this week! A card for Friends. I colored it with my Copics, and white gel pen for high lighting. I also used my Twinkling H2O's to make the face of the phone light up - but it isn't showing in the photograph.
I Cut the oval with the Nestibilities, and then matted it on Basic Grey Boys paper, I used my Fiskar's Deckle scissors and cut around the oval, then matted again on the green Bazzil Bling card stock and cut again. The same was used for the base, and more of the Basic Grey papers, love the bright fun colors and I thought the numbers in the paper went well with the phone.
I stitched them all together with something new for me. I used metallic embroidery thread in my
sewing machine. Ok this stuff is really cool! It looks like metal! Duh guess that is the point isn't it. One hint, don't run the machine very fast at all, or the thread breaks. But it is worth the time to go slow, it really is cool in person. I then added some orange dot ribbon for borders. The "Friends" stamp is one of my clearance stamps from Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago! I only pain 1.88 for it! Great deal huh! I colored in the letters with my copics and then again with Spica Glitter Pens. I matted twice and then stitched around it and the image. They were both attached with pop dots to the card. I love it! This image just makes me smile! And I can't wait to get my news ones, there are some really funny ones in that order too!
Well it is MIL day. (the day I take my MIL shopping and to run errands) We have a few returns to do, and lots of coupons for lots of stops.. Micheals, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's just to name a few! Whooo Hoo!
Hope you have a great Tuesday and have some crafting time!

Monday - Might as well Dance!

Might as well Dance! I have so much to do today I really might as well dance to get it all done! Today's card is for Friday Sketcher's Challenge Blog. It was a really fast card for me, I wanted something girly and was short on time last night as we went out to dinner with family.

I pulled out this adorable House Mouse stamp, I love it. It is fast, simple to color with my Copics and just plain fun. Perfect for the card I needed. The sketch was from Mumur she is from France, I love that each week a different DT of the challenge site does a sketch, and they are from all over the world. So you get lots of styles.

I used a light pink card stock as my base, then used papers from Daisy D's Sweet Baby Jane's paper stack. All really papers that all match perfect, so I didn't have to do any thinking..... love that some times! I cut three patterns for the sketch, and then found a ribbon that would go with them. I attached everything down and stitched down with a Sakura Glaze Pen. I matted the mouse and the sentiment with a hot pink card stock. and then put some Bella Baubles on the corners and pop dotted them onto the card. I then stickled her tutu. I mean what tutu wouldn't sparkle? It was a quick card, but pink and fun.

Update on Rosie - she is doing MUCH MUCH better! I would say 85%, she doesn't like to take her medicine, but after a bit of struggling she does and then wags her tail and ask for hugs. That makes me happy. Very happy. Thanks so much for your prayers and well wishes! Today is Gato's second round of shots at the vet. I am thinking we should just set up auto draft to the vets office!
OH and I just realized my counter went over the 10,000 mark over the weekend! Wow in just over 4 months, I can't thank you all enough for visiting me! I promised some candy when I hit this mark, so look for something this week!
Well off to get the day going, make the most of your Monday... even if it is Monday!

Three Scoops of Amour!

Two cards today!

First is for Cute Card Thursday. The theme this week is a simple but always needed. A Birthday Day Card. I pulled out my new Alota Rubber Stamps Three Scoops stamp and inked it up. Ok, it was 102 here yesterday and ice cream would have been wonderful!
I colored it with my Copics and then covered the ice cream, topping and cherry with Diamond Glaze. The whipped creme I colored in with my white gel pen. I set that aside to dry and then pulled out a yellow card stock, and a blue scrap and ran thru my Cuttlebug Happy birthday embossing folder.
The pattern papers are from DCWV Summer stack as the bright colors matched perfect. Then sewed everything down with a pink zig zag stitch. Including the image. I also added 4 large pink brads to the corners of the matted image. I ran a pink Catseye ink over one line of the embossed Happy birthday to make it stand out just a big more.
I then stamped the matching sentiment "Hope you have a three scoop kind of day" on white and matted with the pink and placed on the inside of the card. I doodled around the inside edge with pink Sakura Glaze Pen. Fun and Bright and ready for someone specials birthday!

Second card is for A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog, loving this site! I happily have a few more images, THANKS DONALDA!!! She sent me a few Rachelle Anne Miller and Sweet Ebony as I was sad and didn't have many to play with. The challenge this week is to make a card of celebrations. Well I figured this image was perfect to make a wedding or anniversary card. I wanted to stick to a red, black and white colors. So I colored the image in with shades of red (pink is a red right?), black, grey and whites, other than their skin and hair that is. I then used a piece of Bazzill Bling dark red card stock as the base. Then a few pieces out of a Making Memories kit. Love the deep colors in this set, I matted the image three times. And then stitched down with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen. I took my Fiskars extra-large heart punch and cut a heart out of the corner of the main pattern paper. After sticking down the paper I stitched the inside of the heart, this is the base of the card showing through. The tag, and the Amour sticker are part of the kit, and seemed to work perfect here. I also doodled around the edge of the card, just because I couldn't stand to not do it. =) Hope it works for the challenge, I am happy with how it came out... don't you just feel the "love"?
Well I am excited - today is crop day! It has been over a month since the last crop at my LSS, The Scrapbook Corral. I will admit, I probably am going to need some extra caffeine for tonight's midnight fun, but it will be so worth the fun with my buddies. And I have some fun Gato photos to scrap. Then it is an all day till midnight crop tomorrow! Whoo Hoo... I can sleep on Sunday! =) Hope you have a great Friday!

A dark but sparkling ATC-

This week at Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge is a guest designer, Jacqui (visit her blog she does some great work!) She picked something a little different, she chose the theme of her favourite Shakespeare play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ok, a tough one. It has been longer than I want to admit since I read any Shakespeare. I played it safe and just stuck to the night forest card. I really did start to do the 1/2 boy 1/2 donkey head thing from the play. But it just wasn't working and I was forcing it. So I went with my first design instead.

This is the Winter tree from Magnolia, I colored it and the night sky with my Copic markers, then went over it all again with Twinkling H2O's. I love how the night sky came out, looks kind of like velvet. I then dotted some stars in with Stickles. I found some dragonfly brads in my stash..... squint really hard...... they are fairies flying in the distance...... ok, stop laughing. =) I then matted it with a lemon yellow scrap card stock. Different huh?

My card today was one I started a couple of days ago when I had out all my pink and browns. This is one of those really awesome Sweet Ebony stamps, that are just ADORABLE! This one is called Giddy Up! I colored her and her "horse" with my Copics, Sakura Glaze Pens and Spica Glitter Pens. I cut her and the scallops with my Nestibilities and sewed them together. This is when my machine and I started disagreeing, and why there are Prima flowers on the right side. I set it aside. Yesterday the old machine was put on the floor, and my new machine was moved into its spot. Yep mess with me and you are moved down baby! I found a Janome for a really good price yesterday and it sews like a dream! I picked up the image and finished it last night. I pulled out a piece of Basic Grey Lily Kate and the same pink card stock as the scallop and sewed them together with a zig zag stitch. I also then gel stitched around that to high light the edge. I dotted the scallops at that time to. I stuck it all to a 5 1/2 inch square card base. I just love country cowgirls in pink and brown, don't you?

Well Hubby is off today, so I better get busy. He has a long list of chores so I need to look like I am getting things done too! =) Rosie is slowly getting better, the medicines seem to working. Doc is coming back out this afternoon to check on her.

Hugs, Have a great Thursday and -

Just too funny -

When ordering my House Mouse order a few weeks back I came across this scrapbooking image. I thought it was hysterical and perfect for my scrapbooking friends. Well it came in and I looked at and thought oh my what was I thinking? The details! Well I pulled it out last night and gave it a try. Ok, it took forever to color in... and wasn't an easy one, but it was fun. I went for brighter colors and used my DCWV Nana's Kids papers. I made a top border with a scrap and my Fiskar's Leave it to Weaver Border punch. And ran some pink satin ribbon thru it. I had this great vintage flower ribbon that matched and is fun. I stitched down with a Sakura Glaze Pen.

Ok so what do you think? Just too funny huh?

Well really short today, gotta take MIL to a Dr. appointment. Oh and Rosie is doing a little better, the meds seem to be working..... thanks for the well wishes, and a few more days I will be able to breathe.

Blog Candy Alert!

Blog Candy Alert! Heather at Hopefully Heather's Stuff has some great blog candy up for grabs.... and while there take a look at her awsome work, love her cards!

Looks like Mice Day?

I did not intentionally make both cards today with mice... but oh well they are cute and not REAL!

The first card is for Papertake Weekly Card, the theme is hot this week! No really it is "hot". To make your card with a hot theme and/or hot colors.
Well I just got this House Mouse stamps last week, thought it was perfect for summer. IT IS SO HOT! Yesterday was 100, and today they are saying 101! Well this is what I would have liked to do yesterday after running errands yesterday!
These mice are cooling off, after colored with Copic Markers and a little bit of Sakura Glaze Pens, I took my Diamond Glaze and cooled off the ice. Man I hate that it is so hard to photograph things like that cuz it really does look "cool" in person.
I then bordered the image with a narrow hot and pink ribbon. I took scraps of Heidi Grace pattern papers to match the colors in the image, I stacked the papers and gel pen stitched them down. (Yes, my machine and I are still not speaking...) I used some hot pink flowers and buttons to match. I love how it turned out. What do you think? Do they look like they are enjoying some ice on a hot day?

The second card probably also could qualify for the hot theme, but I actually made it with my first Penny Black "image". There is a new challenge blog for Penny Black lovers, take a look if you love these stamps, they are some really great cards there.

Ok, I must tell the truth, I don't actually own a Penny Black stamp, I have a few on order with my LSS, but I so wanted to join in on the blog, and I am sooooo lucky to have great friends like Sue, to send me some images. (Hi Sue already using them!)

This is one of the first images that I fell in love with online. I colored it in with Copics and Spica Glitter Pens, the flower actually glitters quite a bit. I gave their faces a bit of orange glow, as if the sun was coming thru the flower. I used some of my hoarded papers... I found a few sheets of Sassafras Serendipity dp's a while back and I really have to think about using them and make sure I really want to cut them and use them. Do you have any papers like that?

Anyway I just love the scallops on the bottom, and it was my clue as to the colors I was going to use. The two papers are just front and back of the same paper, I used Bazzill bling as a base and to mat the image and the sentiment. I doodled with Sakura Glaze pen. I love the bright colors.
Well please say a prayer for Rosie, my first little girl baby. She has been sick this week, and is not getting any better. I have made myself sick worrying about her. Poor thing has knots all over her and is just plain lethargic and sad. The Doc is coming out this afternoon to take a look. We thought she got into some ants or bees, but it just isn't getting better. I just pray it isn't something more serious.

Enjoy Monday -

Good Monday Morning.. Hope you all had a wonderful Fathers Day. I am going to do some catch up today, I have two challenge cards and a great big Thank you.

First challenge card is for Friday Sketchers, make sure to check out this challenge blog if you haven't before, wow some great talent there! This week Jacqueline from the Netherlands did the sketch, and I love it.
I wanted to ink up and use one of my new Alota Rubber Stamps. I love the striped pants and cow hide chaps on this cowgirl. I think this is suppose to be a boy, as the girls in the set have long hair. But I decided to make this a girl with some cute red hair and blush. And of course she is loved some pink and brown gear. I colored her with Copics and Spica Glitter Pens. I then cut her out with my Nestibilities leaving the rope out of the circle. I then cut one size larger scallop out of pink card stock then a circle again with a dark brown. Doodled some dots and stitches on these.
I used some scrap Basic Grey Blush papers and brown card stock, I sewed them down. 2 hours later I finally gave up and just left my sewing mess. My sewing machine and I are no longer speaking. You can see that the zig zag stitches are just not right and even missing in a few spots. Hubby and I worked on that darn machine forever and finally gave up. Back to the card - I then added a piece of brown and pink ribbon and attached the rest of my parts, including a couple of flowers stacked with a Enjoy sentiment that is part of those Micheal's dollar stamps. Oh well, lots of struggles with this one, mainly due to my machine, but I like how it turned out.

The second card is for the Tilda & Co. challenge blog. This week was really a challenge and I don't really know if I did it right or not. Serendipity was the challenge, which from what I understand is using torn pieces and gluing them together. I think.
Well I pulled out a scrap of two different pattern papers and tore and glued, tore and glue, and torn and glued. I then covered the entire piece with some Liquid Diamond to make sure everything was really down. Looks kind of cool, I then stamped out my Spring Club Tilda and colored her with Copics, Sakura Glaze Pens, and Spica Glitter Pens to match my new background. And of course I stickled her wings.
I cut her with a scallop, that actually was almost too small. I then stitched her and the square piece with a glaze pen. I cut slits in the bottom layer to run a satin ribbon through. Ok, this was really different for me, and I was a mess at the end, but I think I will try it again sometime. I just hope I got it right for the challenge!

Now the best for last! I got the best RAK (random act of kindness) from my blog buddie Sue!!!! You can see her great work on her blog Slumber Cards she does some great cards! And it looks like she just got a new puppy! I couldn't even fit everything into the photograph. But there are tons of wonderful Penny Black images to color... she found out I don't have any at all and sent me some to play with all tucked into the cutest little image card holder. She also added in some really cool tags from a UK company can't wait to play with them! And then another card with some sweet words. Your the best Sue! Thanks so much!

Well gotta get the day going, meeting up with an old friend for lunch to plan a Bridal shower for the daughter of another friend. I really don't know when that cute little girl grew up and now is old enough to get married! Wow time flies!

Well have a great Monday - HUGS and
