Whimsy Stamps Inspiration - Floppy Hatted Pig

Howdy  -

Last night I went through more of my favorite older Whimsy Digital images. I needed another birthday card for a friend and this little piggie is just right....

This is "Floppy Hatted Pig" from Crissy's Digis -  just too cute don't you think?

I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then went to work on my card -

My papers are from Pink Paislee - I sewed down the layers, die cut a doiley, then found a Whimsy sentiment, Celebrations Circle Pennants - not used as traditional used.. but I wanted to also use the circle Slider Die 2... so I made them work for me. LOL I colored a satin seam binding ribbon with a copic and then dotted them with Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Inside my scraps -

Copics used -

Love finding the perfect stamp for someone - And I love this cute little piggie!

Hope you enjoyed -
Have a fabulous Thursday!

High Hopes Challenge - Decorative Edges

Howdy -

High Hope Stamps Challenge today - and today it is all about a Decorative Edge or Border. Punches - Dies whatever it takes to make a decorative edge.

I pulled out one of the new images called "Christmas Baby"

Now just cuz it is called "Christmas Baby" doesn't mean you have to used it for that right? I went for a Baby Girl's First Birthday with LOTS of pink.  I colored with my Copics (colors below) Prima papers and for the decorative edge for the challenge I pulled out a biggie. The punch is a XL EK success punch I used it for the edge of the front of the card and you can see the inside paper... so I had to add a piece of pink to show through. I used some Whimsy Flower dies and Martha Stewart Leaves punches.

Inside with left over scraps -

Copic colors used -

Now visit the High Hopes Challenge for more decorative edges and then we would love for you to join us to win more!

Need to find a cute little baby girl now with a birthday!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Animal Crackers - Feathered and Furry Kids

Howdy -

Spent some time out with my chickens and goats yesterday evening. We were out in the far pasture with family yesterday morning and it would have been a great opportunity to snap some photos...... but some dork left her camera and her phone in the house. And never thought about it until we were walking back. oops. sorry... LOL but the goats and chickens need some time too.

First up I just have to show you how handsome Perrywinkle has become.

He has gotten huge! And feathers go every direction on him. You should see when he puffs up and acts tough! All though Hubby says with a name like Perrywinkle he just can't be that tough. Still has his totally crooked beak, but as you can see by his size it hasn't slowed down his eating!

Him and his girlfriend Violet will be getting their own place soon, almost finished with it. He will love no longer having any men to compete with I am sure, as he isn't quite as aggressive as the other two . He just hangs in the background and enjoys life.

Violet his is girlfriend to be -

This girl has a strut like no other. She just knows she is good looking. LOL  She will puff up those cheeks and that head goes back and forth like she is on a runway! YOU GO GIRL! ha!

Speaking of beautiful - Little Miss Chica was looking just too cute last night so I had to snap a photo of her - Adorable -

We won't discuss that she was guarding dinner... growling as Libbie and Autie came for bites. They just ignore her, but it seems to make Chica feel in control to let them know that is her food too.

Control - That would be Chloe. This goat frustrates me to no end. There is only one reason she stayed and wasn't sold when little. She is really gorgeous and she gives me gorgeous babies now. Chloe believes that she is all mighty in the goat world. Won't let me touch her hardly ever, not sweet or friendly at all. Oh sometimes she almost comes to me and wants to be petted, but then she thinks about it for a half second and says no.

Chloe is getting pretty wide now, and even has a pretty big bag growing on her. I think she might be first to deliver her kids. Would love some red and white blue eyed girls this time from her! I usually show off her stunning ice blue eyes when I photograph her, but this shot really shows how sleek and long her horns are. Great handles when needed...

Crissy I think is going to move into Frank's bachelors pad real soon for some babies next Spring. She is old enough to start having some of her own too. She is so friendly and I would love more of those frosted babies.

But Grace's kids... those are the ones I have waited for a few years for now. The day she was born I knew she was a future breeder for us and couldn't wait for her to be old enough. She is over three now, and was in with Frank (who is black with white spots and ice blue eyes) she was in with him for a couple of months and I was worried she didn't get bred before she got out. But she has started looking more pregnant the last week or so... fingers crossed!

One more shot for today... came in from taking pictures and Gato was seriously interested in my camera. Got a "close up" of her -

Yes I know a bit blurry, but she really wanted a close up today. And it is so rare to get her awake, interested and with her eyes open LOL.  And for those wondering... yes she is on my table. Not a practice that I like but when out of the house it is owned by her and well..... Cats tell you what they will and won't do. What can I say life is all about making sure the furry children are healthy and happy! Now she does know my kitchen is off limits... at least she runs when I come down the hallway and pretends... sigh.

Hope you have a wonderful Saturday - hug an animal!

Whimsy Stamps - DT Call

Howdy -

Well today's post I am throwing my hat into the new Whimsy Stamps Rubber Stamp and Die DT. You know.. a dream DT job!! I love being a part of the Whimsy family with my Digital DT position and getting a chance to play with the rubber stamps and dies would just be a total thrill!

So for my card I went through the stamps from Whimsy I have and just had some fun!

For starters I used an older Whimsy Stamps  Kenny K image called Farmer's Daughter. Then as a background image I used one of the new Make it Crafty stamps Garden Fence. Both are colored with my Copics. Then I pulled out some country papers from Simple Stories Legacy collection. I layered a few of the pattern papers and then sewed them together.

The band across the bottom is one of my favorite dies from Whimsy. "Double Scallop Border Die"  Love that you can weave ribbon through the holes above the scallops. Which I did. Then I used a flower corner die, sorry I have not a clue who made it. Searched and Searched and can't find it and I have had it since the beginning of time. I cut it out with the green and then again with red cut apart and layered. Then added Viva Decor Pearl pen dots for centers.

The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps - Everyday Sayings Notables 4 collection.  Love the dies that match up with the sentiments! First cut out Notables 4 Die - stamped on it. Then the Dainty Notables 4 Dies background die that matches in red cardstock.

Had some fun with this one!
Here are the Copic colors used in the two stamps -

Now they have said we can show off two past cards for the DT call... so I went through my past Whimsy cards to see what I have to show off again -

They said two additional cards - I had a very hard time deciding what to show... Love this first one that was a birthday card for our dogs puppies first birthday that our good friends have made part of their family.... His name is Ammo. Image is "Dog Song" Banner is from Whimsy Banner Pennants Die Set and Celebrations pennants.

Love this cow from Whimsy Crissy's Digitals - "Birthday Cow"

I have adored being a part of Whimsy Digi Team - I love Whimsy and all of their product! And there are no better people in the world to work for and with. Love Whimsy! So fingers crossed and saying a little prayer for the new Rubber and Die DT Call!

Have a wonderful Day!

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration - Jamie Autumn Splender

Howdy -

Today I had some fun with one of Whimsy Stamps Digital image from Marika Collins - This is "Jamie"

I have used Jamie for a Spring Card once, but I got some really pretty papers from Prima called Forever Green. So I thought I would do Jamie in a Fall theme. I colored her with Copics and went with oranges green brown and black. Love that butterfly paper so I tried to show as much as possible.
I found a piece of ribbon for a bow. Then found a Whimsy Digital sentiment that went well.

Inside the card I used the scraps -

Copic Colors used -

Love these fun Marika Collins images - just fun to color - There are a ton of them to choose from you can see them all HERE

Feeling more MoJo today... so I think the house will wait another day and I am going back to coloring! LOL

Have a great day! HUGS and

High Hopes Challenge - Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Howdy -

This week the High Hopes Challenge is "Think Pink" for Breast Cancer Awareness. Great Challenge don't you think? I went for one of my older High Hopes Images, one of my favorite girls!

This is "Cowgirl Candice"  - love this gal and her horse! I then found the sentiment "Friends are We..."  thought it matched up pretty good with a girl and her horse. I colored with Copics (colors below) and then found some perfect papers... pink for the challenge. From Carte Bella called "Giddy Up!" A piece of brown and white gingham ribbon some punched leaves and flowers to complete the front.

Inside more of the same papers... using up scraps.

Copic Colors used -

Fabulous challenge this week with the "Think Pink" theme. It would be great if you join us. Just use any High Hopes images and the color pink. Then you could possibly win some more High Hopes for yourself!

Hope you have great day planned - maybe some craft time?

Animal Crackers - Grazing for Attention

Howdy,

Earlier in the week I walked over to the neighbors pasture to visit my girls. They were all busy grazing finding all the little new grass coming up since our tiny bit of rain. Funny how just a little rain does so much! Look how they are all so focused on eating to even notice me... well all but one...

Little Miss Mirta - she always wants her head scratched and some attention.

Totally sweetie - we refer to her as obnoxious friendly, a little pushy and demanding if you don't give her attention. So we give in and spoil her.

Two more in the obnoxious friendly category  for sure would be Felicia and Lydia - They have become BFF's for sure.

Ellie Mae and Gabby are more moody.. sometimes they fall into the obnoxious and other times they will look up and say.. nah ain't worth it right now. Ellie Mae had just looked up to see "Dad" working.

And when I looked to see why she was so interested....

My palms started sweating and I was freaked. He was fine heights don't bother him at all. Me.. oh yea. I told him how nervous I was and he rolled his eyes and said it was only 13 - 14 feet high. ONLY???  I don't like ladder or heights. Step ladders make me nervous. But then again we all know I am klutz.

He was putting the last of the the rafters at the top of the neighbors barn. He had a break for awhile, waiting for metal to come in, we had shows, then he was a little under the weather, but he is now back at it and says it will be weathered in by the end of the month. Then he can start on all the cosmetic things. Stalls - tack room - dutch doors for each stall and trim.

Hope you have a great weekend.

High Hopes Challenge - Anything Goes!

Howdy -

This week the High Hopes Challenge is wide open! Anything Goes! Just use a High Hopes image and go for it! I was in the mood for something different.... something I haven't used in a while and a little different card --- I went with a pocket and tag for the front!

These images are -

Happy Flower Pocket - Froggy Tag - Keep this Tag

A sweet little frog tag that I added the sentiment to -

Colored with my Copics (colors below) the tag slips into the pocket on the front of the card.

I used papers from My Minds Eye and then a Martha Stewart Border and Corner Punch. I sewed all the layers together. After attaching the pocket making sure that the adhesive allows the tag to slide in and out. I added some viva decor pearl paper pen dots for some added bling.

Inside -

Copic Colors used -

Sometimes it is just fun to work with something a little different. Card may have ended up a little springy? I thought it was end of summerish when I started them.. LOL

Now is the time to join in the High Hopes Challenge! Anything GOES! So hop on over to the challenge site and join us for a chance to win more High Hopes!!!

Thanks for visiting me and hope you join us for the High Hopes Challenge!

Animal Crackers - Hello How Are You?

Howdy,

You know the movie Sahara... where the side kick guy always say "Hi, How Are Ya?" through out the entire movie. I love that. And that is how I hear Frankie's Voice when he is trying to get attention. LOL Can't you hear it?

"Hiiiii, How Are Ya?'

Love this guy... wish he didn't smell like he was dead already. But WOW things are rank in the goat pen with all the guys right now! Whew! But that face... even with the stink he is adorable. You see those dots right on the end of his nose? That is the safest place to scratch him. Anywhere else and you may have to remove your fingers to loose the smell!  Here he actually was apologizing for pulling his water line loose from the fencing... again... the boy gets bored and that sometimes leads to trouble.

Speaking of Trouble... LEON! The dude is king large in the Heritage pen. We are finally working on getting them into new pens soon. But Leon has really staked his claim and big guy on campus. And he is BIG!

Need to find a away to show you just how huge he is... Those are some really large meaty legs there! But he is safe... no roasting any of my kids.

The last few days I have been watching over Alice again. She was my sick little chick when we first got them. After lots of TLC she was fine and has been growing and is stunning... but Wednesday this week she sprained her foot or leg...

Poor gal has been limping pretty bad. I can't really do much for her other than make sure she is still getting around, drinking and eating well. Took her favorite snack in the other night and purposely put it on the other end of the pen. She was right in the group after it and all though only on one leg was keeping up with her share of the corn and crackers.

Now Hubby wanted me to show off one of his new friends. He has been talking to and getting to know this little guy since he was barely big enough to jump.

We love tree frogs here. And get excited when ever we find one. This guy has gorgeous coloring. A light grey green with dark highlights. He lives on and around the big Donkey's water bucket. Nice cool moist grass around the bucket you know.

Here he is listening and talking back to Hubby right at dark one evening.

Wanted to show off some doggie photos this week, and I snapped a few, but I was so embarrassed  over how horrible they look I just couldn't. Sweet little precious dogs... that rolled in something nasty. Not sure what. Had to run into town yesterday and get some shampoo for them and try and clean off the stink! If I didn't know better I would have thought that they had gotten in with the boy goats! PHwewe! LOL

Hope you have a great weekend planned - We are hoping to go see some good friends new baby! Can't wait!!!

Whimsy Stamps - Party Animal

Howdy -

This week I made a card for a neighbor friend who has a birthday this weekend. I went with one of my favorite Whimsy Stamps images - From Crissy's Digitals -

"Party Animal"

Great Fun Birthday image - I colored with my Copic (colors below) Then found papers from Authentique. Had to keep it a little more manly than I wanted. I had some flowers and leaves and such picked out. But since this is a farmer "guy" friend I backed off of the frills. I did pull out some of my Whimsy Dies, Corner Die set for the image scalloped corners.  And then for the sentiment "Birthday Sentimentables" I sewed all the papers together.

Inside more of the same papers -

Copic colors used -
Love this image for birthday cards! I think our friend will like it. Now I am going to clean off my desk and put away the last months worth of projects. Then I think I will do a little more coloring.

Have a wonderful day -
